Description
Bring sensors into your inventions. The Makey Makey Code-a-Key Backpack is an adaptor board that connects a BBC micro:bit to your Makey Makey, so motion, light, sound and temperature can trigger key presses and mouse control — no tangle of wires or breadboarding needed.
What it does:
- Clips onto the back of your Makey Makey and holds a BBC micro:bit (V1 or V2)
- Lets the micro:bit trigger up to 6 key presses and full mouse control
- Works both ways — the micro:bit can also respond to your key or mouse activity by showing an image, playing a sound or driving a servo motor
- Includes the Code-a-Key Backpack, instructions and a Makey Makey sticker
What your child practises:
- Combining physical computing with sensor-based coding in MakeCode
- Cause and effect — linking real-world inputs to on-screen actions
- Creative problem-solving across two connected devices
Works with Makey Makey version 1.5 or higher. A Makey Makey Classic board and a BBC micro:bit are sold separately.
