We provide engaging hands-on activities for students to explore and create Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) concepts in a fun and interactive way in our school incursions.

From coding and robotics programs to exploring the world of virtual reality, our school incursion workshops are designed to challenge and inspire students of all ages. With our range of workshops, students will learn and develop essential 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, creative thinking, collaboration and communication.

VR, Coding & Robotics

Check out our Coding & Robotics STEM Workshops for students to explore the basics of coding and robotics. We have several programs including the Bee Bot and indi STEAM Program for the early years and the Ozobot and Sphero STEAM Programs for the primary years. Our Virtual Reality Workshop is an exciting way for students to explore the fascinating world of virtual reality. We use the latest VR technology to bring the world to life in front of the students’ eyes! Students will gain an understanding of how to create virtual worlds and how VR is used in different industries.

Circuits & Creative Thinking

We also have our popular Makey Makey and micro:bit Smart Home Workshops, where students learn the basics of electronics and coding. Students will use kits to program, build and create inventions, while learning the basics of electricity and circuit design.

micro:bit smart home steam program
micro:bit Smart Home STEAM Program
The micro:bit Smart Home STEAM Program is designed to help students get started with exploring the world of electronics with a focus on home automation. Simply speaking a “Smart Home” is a home equipped with the lighting, heating, cooling, visual, sound appliances, miscellaneous electronic devices that can be controlled remotely (and automated) by a smartphone or a computer.

Drone STEAM Program
Our Drone STEAM Program uses "Airblock" an easy-to-use programmable drone that’s geared to inspire young pilots to dive head first into STEAM education. The drone itself consists of six rotor blades and one master module that links the blades via magnetic connectors in a honeycomb fashion without the use of any tools. Each module is wrapped in a special engineered Styrofoam to protect sensitive instruments from damage during a crash landing.

Claymation Student Workshop
This workshop is designed to teach students how to use Claymation software to create their own stop motion animated video. Students will capture images using a webcam, create characters, apply small changes, add background images and music to create their own claymation movies.

Our NewsMaker Student Workshop provides students an easy and fun platform to practice writing, speaking and presentation skills.

Exploring with Bee Bot
In this workshop students will participate in several activities that develop problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, map-reading, team work, co-operation and communication skills. Students will be divided into teams of 2 or 3 and each team will be provided with activities that require programming the Bee Bot.
