OzoGoes to the Sun, Earth & Moon brings astronomy to life on the desktop. In this hands-on Ozobot STEAM kit, students build a working model of the Sun, Earth and Moon, then use it to explore how these movements shape life on Earth — day and night, the four seasons, eclipses and more. A flashlight acts as the sun, so the whole model works indoors. Pair it with an Evo or Bit+ robot to add coding, or run it screen-free without a bot. Designed for ages 8 and up.
What your students explore:
- Why we have day and night as the Earth turns
- How the tilt and orbit of the Earth create the four seasons
- How the Sun, Earth and Moon line up to cause eclipses
- Problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork in a real-world context
What's included:
- Earth globe, foam Moon and three stands (Sun, Earth and Moon)
- Bamboo skewer, clear adhesive dots and a flashlight (to act as the sun)
- An Evo snap-on hat
- Activity board, 12 fact cards, 4 inquiry cards and an inquiry activity sheet
- Printed lesson plan with answer key, assembly instructions, and a QR code to free lessons in Ozobot Classroom
The activities are standards-aligned, and one kit suits an individual or a small group of up to four students. To code along, you'll need an Ozobot Evo or Bit+ robot (sold separately) and a device to run Ozobot Blockly — though the model and activities also work screen-free without a bot.
