OzoGoes on a Seesaw brings playground physics into the classroom. In this hands-on Ozobot STEAM kit, students build a working seesaw — a simple lever — then add and remove weights to see how balance, force and gravity affect the way it moves. Pair it with an Evo or Bit+ robot to bring coding into the activity, or run it screen-free without a bot. It's a ready-to-teach way to make forces and simple machines tangible, designed for ages 8 and up.
What your students explore:
- How a lever works, by building and testing their own seesaw
- Balanced and unbalanced forces, and how they change an object's motion
- Leverage, gravity and force through hands-on experiments with weights
- Problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork in a real-world context
What's included:
- Activity board and a punch-out board with skewer to build the seesaw
- Weights for balance and force experiments
- 8 vocabulary cards and 12 "What's the Force?" cards
- 2 printed lesson plans with answer keys, plus assembly instructions
- QR code to free digital lessons in Ozobot Classroom
The activities are standards-aligned, and one kit suits an individual or a small group of up to four students. To code along, you'll need an Ozobot Evo or Bit+ robot (sold separately) and a device to run Ozobot Blockly — though the seesaw activities also work screen-free without a bot.
