The Finch Robot 2.0 Starter Flock is a class set of five Finch robots, ready for a group of 5–10 students to code together. Take programming off the screen with durable, rechargeable robots that drive, draw and sense — a hands-on way to build coding skills across year levels.
What's included:
- 5 × Finch Robot 2.0 units (with or without micro:bits)
- 5 × USB charging cables and 1 × USB charging hub
- 5 × markers sized for the Finch's drawing holder
- 1 × padded carrying case for the robots and accessories
What students practise:
- Coding from icon- and block-based languages through to Python and Java
- Using sensors, LEDs and precise movement to solve challenges and draw
- Working in small groups to plan, test and debug programs
Each Finch supports learners from the early years of primary school to senior secondary, so the set works across your school. Free, classroom-tested lessons and online teacher professional learning are included. A BBC micro:bit is required for each robot (choose the option with micro:bits, or supply your own). USB-C charging cables are included; the set measures roughly 41 × 25 × 19 cm.
