Description
The gentlest classroom entry into micro:bit coding. Ten Ring:bit Bricks Packs, ten micro:bit boards and Online Academy licences for thirty students — enough for a primary class working in pairs, with six guided projects that each finish inside a lesson.
What's included:
- 10 x Ring:bit Bricks Packs
- 1 x micro:bit Club pack (class set of 10) — 10 micro:bit V2 boards, 10 battery packs, 10 USB cables and 20 AAA batteries
- 30 x student licences to the Sammat Online Academy
- 1 x teacher licence to the Sammat Online Academy
- Each kit contains a Ring:bit v2 board, two 360° servos, a rainbow LED strip and close to 200 building bricks — around 2,000 brick pieces across the pack
What students practise:
- Building a working mechanism from an instruction set, then changing it
- Writing the code that drives something they made themselves
- Controlling servos and LEDs in Microsoft MakeCode
- Collaborating in pairs and troubleshooting when a build won't move
Six project tutorials in the Online Academy cover traffic lights, a bricks car, a temperature-controlled fan, a smart desk lamp, windscreen wipers and a working trebuchet. Because the bricks are a standard size, a class can keep building well past the last tutorial.
