Filament multipacks for the MakerBot SKETCH range, which is how most schools buy once 3D printing becomes a normal part of the timetable. A class gets through more than anyone expects, and a multipack means fewer purchase orders and no mid-term scramble when the only spool left is black.
The packs:
- PLA 5 Pack - red, yellow, green, blue and grey. The standard set, and a sensible first order alongside a printer.
- Metallic PLA 5 Pack - five metallic PLA spools, for students finishing display or presentation pieces.
- PLA Rainbow 10 Pack - ten colours, enough for a full class to each print in their own colour.
- Tough PLA 10 Pack - ten spools of Tough PLA, for parts that need to survive being handled, dropped or used rather than displayed.
All spools are 1kg and 1.75mm, the standard size for the MakerBot SKETCH range. They will not fit an UltiMaker S series printer, which takes 2.85mm.
PLA or Tough PLA?
- PLA for prototypes, models and design work - the everyday choice, and cheaper per spool
- Tough PLA for functional parts, jigs, or anything a student will actually use. It resists impact far better and is worth the difference where a part will be handled.
Individual colours are available as single 1kg spools if you only need to top up one.
Supplied to order, so stock is not held locally. Schools, TAFEs, universities and government institutions can order on a purchase order.
