Robotics Kits and Coding Robots for Australian Classrooms

Robotics gives students something on-screen coding can't: a machine that does exactly what they told it to, right or wrong. Our robotics kits and coding robots cover every stage from the first year of school to senior secondary, with teaching resources available for most ranges.

Choosing by year level

The right robot depends far more on the age of the student than on the brand.

• Foundation to Year 2 — screen-free floor robots. Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot and Loti-Bot are programmed by pressing buttons on the robot itself, so a five-year-old can sequence a route without a device.
• Years 3 to 6 — the step into block coding. Edison, Ozobot, Rugged Robot and KaiBot start screen-free and move up to drag-and-drop programming.
• Years 7 to 10 — text-based coding and build-your-own. micro:bit, Hummingbird, Finch 2.0, KaiLab and Makekit bring in sensors, wiring and Python.
• Spanning year levels — Sphero runs from indi for early primary through BOLT+ and RVR+ for secondary, and Makey Makey turns everyday objects into game controllers at any age.

Class sets and bundles

Most ranges are available as class sets with charging docks, activity mats and spare parts included, so a whole class can have a robot each rather than sharing between groups. Bulk pricing is built into the sets.

Our team are former teachers and we run these robots in classroom workshops, so we can talk through which one suits a Year 4 cohort or a shared robotics room. Australian-owned and shipped from Australian warehouses. Schools, TAFEs and government buyers can order on a purchase order or request a quote.
