Description
A class set for teaching data properly. Ten Smart Science IoT Kits, ten micro:bit boards and Online Academy licences for thirty students, so a whole class can collect real environmental measurements, send them to the cloud, and argue about what the graphs actually show.

- 30 x student licences to the Sammat Online Academy, covering 7 self-paced lessons

- Each kit contains an IoT:bit Wi-Fi board, OLED screen, BME280, PIR sensor, light sensor, noise sensor, water level sensor, soil moisture sensor, sonar:bit, dust sensor and 180° servo
What students practise:
- Collecting measurements over time and working with the data they produced
- Reading their own graphs and explaining the shape rather than the number
- Connecting a device to a cloud service and exporting data to a spreadsheet
- Block coding in Microsoft MakeCode, working in pairs
Seven self-paced lessons in the Online Academy cover uploading to ThingSpeak, working with KidsIoT, air quality monitoring, environmental noise detection, a monitoring station and automatic irrigation. The batteries are included too, so nothing needs buying before the first lesson.
