This will be focus on programming for the project, STEAM principles, setting up the schools with the online lessons/projects and hands on learning of the technology so they feel comfortable starting the project with their students.

Term 1 and 2
Students and Teachers participate in the online lessons/projects and start to plan their smart home design.

Term 2 and 3
Students design and develop their smart home using the micro:bit kits and accessories.

Students finalise and test designs. There will be a follow up Professional Learning Day/Afternoon for teachers via zoom. This will be a Q&A or troubleshooting day for issues that need to be addressed. Teachers can share their students ideas to help other schools who may need more assistance.

Term 4
