The buzzer Bit is just what it sounds like: it makes a noise that you just can't ignore. It buzzes whenever it gets an ON signal. Try using it to make your own doorbell or alarm!

The sound trigger listens to the noise level in your room, and sends an ON signal when it gets over a certain level. You can make that threshold louder or softer using the included screwdriver. We like to use it with an LED to light up your room when you snap your fingers. The sound trigger features an electret microphone that triggers a 5V output when the set threshold is reached. The output of the module will remain high for 3 seconds. If the input signal is high, the module functionality is enabled. If the input signal is low, the module function is disabled.

If there is a littleBits module that doesn’t exist, you now have the power to make it. The proto module is what littleBits engineers use to build and prototype new modules. Hack into existing modules or invent a brand new one by connecting to printed circuit boards or solderless breadboards. With the proto module, you have direct access to power, ground and signal lines needed to take measurements and connect to other instruments.

The Branch Bit gives you more options for connecting your littleBits: it lets you connect the output of a single Bit to as many as three others, oriented in different directions. Use it when you want to trigger light, sound and motion at the same time.

The vibration motor is very similar to the device that makes your cellphone shake when you get a text. With this module, you can make anything vibrate and buzz! This module also includes the vibeSnap-- an accessory that helps you attach stuff - like paper, tin foil, or a pipecleaner - to the motor.

The bargraph is one of littleBits favourite Bits: The bargraph shows you how much signal the Bit is receiving with a display of 5 light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in different colours. Try it with a pressure sensor to make your own strength-o-meter.

Micro Switches (Pack of 15)

When used with DC motors, this pair of wheels is perfect for making bots, cars, and all sorts of spinning inventions. These wheels work with cross axle DC motors.

The remote trigger lets you use a common remote control with your modules. Make your littleBits circuit and point your remote control at the remote trigger’s sensor. Then, press any button on your remote control to activate the module. The remote trigger will work with almost any button on a remote that uses infrared light to send signals.

The pulse Bit is like an electronic heartbeat. It sends out a stream of short ON signals, and you can make the speed of the pulses faster or slower using the included screwdriver. It's great for making LEDs blink!

The fork Bit gives you more options for connecting your Bits: it lets you connect the output of a single Bit to as many as three others. The additional Bits will be right next to each other. Use it when you want to trigger light, sound, and motion at the same time.

The USB power may be the smallest in the series, but it's big enough to send juice to all your creations. Connect a USB cable (included) to your computer or phone charger to start the power flowing. Try it with an LED to make the simplest littleBits circuit. If you're looking for a permanent installation, the USB power adapter enables you to plug your USB power directly into the wall. Using a USB connection to a computer, you have access to 500mA of power for your circuit. When using the USB Wall Adapter, you should have up to 1A of power available. The red LED shows you when the module is powered. Note: The USB power Bit does not provide a data connection.

The timeout Bit is a settable timer. Try it after a button and follow it with a light. Press and release the button to start the countdown. In "on-off" mode, the light will go on as soon as you release the button and the timer will start counting down to turn-off time. In "off-on" mode, the light will go out when you release the button and will turn back on after the timer reaches the allotted time. Use the included screwdriver to set the timer. Try it with a motion sensor and buzzer to create an intruder alarm!

The littleBits perf module is a quick and easy way to prototype a circuit for the littleBits library. It's a standard 0.1" perfboard with a vcc and ground bus connected to our bitSnap connectors. Use it to quickly prototype with different sensors and components by soldering directly to the perf module.

The proximity sensor Bit senses objects in front of it. It can sense if an object is far or near. Try using it to create your own self-navigating car, or a hands-free instrument!

The littleBits UV LED (or "UltraViolet Light-Emitting Diode") Bit sends out a special kind of light. It looks purple to the eye, but it has some special abilities, like making white fabrics and certain inks glow in the dark. If you have a pen that writes in UV-sensitive ink, you can use it to reveal secret messages.

The RGB LED (or "Red-Green-Blue Light-Emitting Diode") Bit is a special light whose colour you can adjust. Use the included screwdriver to adjust each of the colour channels to get almost any colour. Use the RGB LED when you want to match the light to the colour of your creation!

The littleBits long LED (or "Light-Emitting Diode") Bit is another lighting option. We call it the "long" LED because the light is tethered to the board by a cable. This lets you put the light in some interesting places: one of our favourite tricks is to place the LED in the middle of a foam ball to make it glow!

The littleBits IR LED (or infrared light-emitting diode) module sends out light with longer wavelengths than visible light, similar to the light in your remote control. It’s invisible to the eye, but many digital cameras can see it! Try using it to activate the light sensor or remote trigger.

The littleBits bright LED (or "Light-Emitting Diode") is a small module that puts out a big light. Just like our other LED modules, it's a great way to shed some light on your creations. Choose the bright LED when you want a LOT of bright white light. The bright LED features a half watt super bright LED that responds to incoming voltages linearly. The more voltage it receives, the brighter it gets.

The toggle switch Bit is sturdy on/off switch that you can use to activate your creations with a nice, solid click. Try using it after a USB power Bit as an on/off switch for your whole creation.

Think of the littleBits threshold as a toll booth for signal passing through your circuit. The threshold compares the incoming voltage coming from the bit snapped before it against the voltage amount you’ve set by the threshold knob. If the incoming voltage value is greater than the selected voltage, the threshold will allow the signal to pass and activate any bits (lights, motors, etc…) following it. If not, then nothing will be activated. Use it to make any sensor module into a trigger module! The threshold is a minimum parts count design, using only a single opamp to accomplish the task of comparing the input signal to an onboard reference that is set via the potentiometer control. U1 is configured as a non-inverting comparator with approximately 100mV of hysteresis provided by R1 and R3. VR1 provides the comparator's reference. C1 is a bypass capacitor for U1 that sources current to the opamp during fast switching events.

The littleBits slide switch is a small and convenient way to turn your creations on and off. It uses a sturdy plastic lever to switch back and forth. Try it with any of your favourite Bits, like the DC motor or bright LED!
