Today's primary school children are digital natives - they have grown up using computers and electronic devices from a young age. They are comfortable with technology, know how to use it, and expect to use it in their learning. Primary teachers can encourage this by adapting lessons to incorporate technology in the classroom.
In this session, participants will learn how Augmented Reality can be used in the classroom to add a new dimension to storytelling. AR allows students to create multimodal texts that are presented in a range of ways. Participants will experience a range of different AR platforms online and on iPads that help create engaging storytelling experiences for their students. After a day of exploring and creating, you will be busting to get into the classroom to engage your students with this innovative technology.
